GREEN PRODUCTS

There have been the rampant logging operations (both, legal and illegal) that caused severe damages to our natural forests.

Nowadays, you know that legal and illegal logging may occur in many countries, including Indonesia.

Like what that environmentalist and natural resources conservationist do, we also concern about the destruction of tropical forests in our country. Personaly, I do feel grievous since I am a biologist.

The raw materials that I need to produce wooden puzzles do not disturb our natural tropical rain forest.
There are two species of tree, which take place as the sources of wood for our handicrafts:

1. The ‘jati’ or Teak or Tectona grandis
2. The ‘sono keling’ or Indian Rosewood or Dalbergia latifolia

Those species of trees are widely cultivated in Java. They are not original species that grow naturally in our tropical rain forests. We’d find both of them easily in rural areas, especially in Central and East Java, because they are planted by farmers.

Furthermore, our workshop takes unused cuttings from another workshop, which produces furniture. This means, we make use of materials that are dumped or wasted by people. This way, we avoid cut the trees unnecessarily to maintain our production. 

In short, there have not to be worried if you buy our products and sell them in your country. We would not contribute anything to the destruction of tropical rain forests in other islands in the Archipelago.
